Dwelling on Lost Photos

I finally got around to creating photo thank yous for Big Girl’s Communion. I didn’t have a lot to work with since we lost our camera last week. As I was scrolling through the photos I took solace in the fact that I do, indeed have some photos off that camera. I have 19 photos from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, our Easter videos, photos of a small holiday party we had. The reason: I downloaded them to post on Facebook.

I am still kicking myself that I had enough time to download “choice” photos for Facebook, but I couldn’t be bothered just dumping them all onto the desktop. Would it have been a big deal? At the time my husband was building a media server for the house. (He actually got all the pieces for it for Christmas.) He kept telling me not to put photos on my computer. That he wanted everything on the server. Sigh. So I didn’t download the card. No one’s fault but my own, though.

I keep hoping that someone is going to find the camera and do the right thing, uploading photos to IFoundYourCamera.net so I can find them. (I check the site every few days, fingers crossed.) What a drag…
